Did you know that Pulau Ubin, also known as Granite Island, is shaped like a boomerang?
A 15-minute bumboat ride is all it takes to be transported back to the 1960s away from mainland Singapore. Spend a day on this island to experience it for yourself! Before you go, here’s what you should do:
Pre-Trip
Dress in light clothing & shoes you do not mind dirtying as it might get muddy especially when it rains.

Getting To Pulau Ubin
Step 1: Arrive at Changi Point Ferry Terminal
Located next to the bridge heading towards Changi Beach Park near Changi Village Food Centre, Pulau Ubin is just a 15 minutes bumboat ride away!

Step 2: Board the Bumboat to Pulau Ubin
The boats are relatively small with a maximum capacity of 9 passengers and as no tickets will be issued, payment of $4 is to be made onboard (prepare cash!). The journey will take 15 minutes and will depart when there is full capacity.

Cost: $4/pax (one-way), additional $2 if you boarding with your bicycle

Travelling Around Pulau Ubin

There are 3 commute options – Taxi, Bicycle and Walk.
Option 1: Taxi
Taxi Service Stand can be found on the left side of the jetty upon arriving at Pulau Ubin. Mini vans offered has a maximum capacity of 10 passengers and can charge up to $35/hr.

Option 2: Bicycle
Probably the most common and cost-efficient way to cover Pulau Ubin, there are 4 bicycle rental stores, located at House 18, 24, 25 and 45C. They are priced at an average of $15 depending on the type and number of hours.
Option 3: Walk
To fully submerge yourself in nature, walking by foot is always an option for unique encounters with the wildlife. Try to spot a Fiddler Crab!
